A fine "Z" twist spun silk that is 130/2. A favorite for fine hand embroidery and counted thread work. Sharon Schamber recommends this thread for piecing, hand applique and long-arm quilting machines. Does not add bulk to seams as silk thread compresses when ironed, cotton does not---a critical issue when working with fine points in piecing and machine applique. For hand applique Sharon prefers this thread as it is easy to use and disappears into the fabric.
